Full accommodation and a delicious vegetarian menu will be provided in the beautiful rooms of Nanpantan Hall, a centre for peace & self-discovery. The hall & grounds offer a quiet place away from the busyness of life. There will be free time to explore the peaceful surroundings of Nanpantan Hall and grounds, woodland walks and to visit the nearby Spinning Farm and local area.

About the course

All abilities are welcome whether you are new to embroidery or an experienced needleworker.

During the two days, your time will be divided equally between Ann and Kate’s separate Workshops. Both workshops will offer you the opportunity to experience and connect with mindfulness as a daily practice for needlework and everyday living.

What to bring

Ideally, bring with you an 8” embroidery hoop/frame and a basic sewing kit: scissors, needles etc. if you have them. Otherwise, we can provide these.

About the Tutors – Ann Howden & Kate Wells.

Ann Marie Howden’s Needlework Workshop

Ann will be demonstrating a variety of traditional embroidery stitches and techniques, including top tips for embroidery, starting and finishing, and helping you to create a simple embroidery sampler. This Daisy Crewel work embroidery sampler is yours to stitch, during the workshop and in your own time. All materials and equipment for Ann’s workshop will be provided.
